On-line www.romaexhibit.it, the first network of museums and exhibition spaces in Roma Capitale

Promotion and fusion are the two buzzwords of RomÆxhibit / Art and Exhibitions in Rome, a new system – and a new network – of museums and exhibition spaces embracing the city's numerous public and private cultural and exhibition venues for the very first time in Italy. The aim of the initiative is to make these spaces more user-friendly and to ensure an increasingly high-quality programme of exhibitions throughout the year, in an effort to fuel the interest of the city's permanent and temporary residents, from the merely curious to the dedicated scholar and student.

4 star season tickets to the Planetarium and Astronomical Museum.

A season ticket valid for six months is now on sale, offering 4 shows for the price of 3 plus additional discounts on the entire Civic Museums of Rome network. It means that the chance to experience something rather special beneath the star spangled ceiling of the Planetarium is even more affordable. The season ticket can be purchased at the ticket office of the Planetarium and Astronomical Museum, and holders can see four different astronomical shows for the price of three...a total cost of €19.50 instead of €26.00 for the full price ticket and €13.50 instead of €18.00 for concessions. The season ticket is valid for six months from the date of issue and entitles holders, on production of their card at the time of purchase, to other discounts throughout the entire network of Rome's Civic Museums including reduced entrance fees to the network's museums and exhibitions and a 10% discount in the bookshops. It makes the opportunity to marvel at the stars, choosing from more than 60 different astronomic shows – divided into 4 categories - even more accessible.
Celestial Vistas: for those who would like to know more about the fascinating world of astronomy.
Open Universes: for those who would like to know more about particular scientific topics within the fields of planetology, cosmology and astrophysics.

Playing with the stars: for children of all ages who would like Doctor Stellarium to take them on a journey of discovery in search of some of the skies most fascinating secrets.

Another exciting aspect to the Planetarium is the introduction of music through the astronomic concerts and automated shows that tell of Roman nights, the Breath of the cosmos and Martian Holidays. Rome's Planetarium is a veritable astronomic theatre where astrophiles, science aficionados and anybody the slightest bit curious about the Universe can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of astronomy and dive into a sky crammed with pulsating stars.

Mercati e Foro di Traiano

The exhibition is dedicated to the great Japanese sculptor who creates pure shapes, reducing language to basics. The sculpture, set along an exhibition route that forms a small semi-circle between the Via Biberatica and the Grande Aula, seem to be living presences inviting visitors to contemplation and silence. The works of art have been created by the artist in Carrara marble, bronze and black granite.

Alfredo Pirri. A Mark in Caesar’s Forum
Mercati e Foro di Traiano

Alfredo Pirri ‘s work consists in the creation of a floor made of cracked mirrors, measuring over 400 square metres, which following ancient traces replaces the travertine surface originally delimitating the public area in Caesar’s Forum. The exhibition can be seen from Via dei Fori Imperiali.
